Just once I’d love to see one where the ancient and powerful demon is like “yeah I’ve been here a thousand years before your lot ever thought of the word ‘God’, how is your little wooden cross thing gonna work?”

For that matter, the whole Demon Possession subgenre really peaked where it began with the original Exorcist didn’t it? Every one since then has been basically the same old rehashed template frosted with church propaganda.

I had low expectations for The Exorcist: Believer but hooo boy did it fail to reach them.

I’d love to see Square Enix have a creative renaissance similar to how Capcom and Nintendo have been at the top of their game in recent years with some of their top titles.

I would love to feel as excited over Final Fantasy again as I have been over the Resident Evil series in the 2020s.
