Op de kaart ziet Nederland er zo uit: van conservatief rechts tot extreemrechts, waar de dikke ik regeert en racisme zwaarder weegt dan een duurzame of betaalbare toekomst voor iedereen. Dat velen kozen voor het optimistisch rechtse kamp met een progressieve uitstraling verandert daar niets aan.

I'm probably going to end up obsessing over Sepp even more. Take him out for adventures. Somehow try to find a little cottage, or even a shed would do tbf, in the woods where I can just go hide until times get bareable again. At least autumn looks very good on Sepp. So I do have that!

Pros of being married to a doctor when the Dutch elections have sent me into an abbys of doom. There's always meds around. Took a sleeping pill and now I'm just going to stand outside in the rain until it kicks in. Seems fitting, crying along with the clouds. Snuggle up to my Seppy Wuff and sleep.

It's utterly depressing, but what can we do, right? We have to deal with whatever reality we're forced to live in. I just hope a better time or place will come to us both, before it ends us. Sending hugs ❤️

I'm not sure I actually have the opportunity to move away. I'm not sure my wife would join me if I can. But I can't go back to my darkest times. I can't. I truly don't know where to go from here.

I do not have the mental bandwidth to fight. I do believe there are better places for my brain and whole being and I'll need it if I don't want to spiral back into my darkest times I worked so hard to come out of. Complex and difficult things to figure out now.

I have lost all hope. I have already been struggling so much with how this country acts and behaves. My mental health suffers immensely from it. This result tells me it will only get worse. I kinda already knew that, but watching it unfold is still messing me up.

I feel so many things right now and none of it is good. I'm truly scared about the future. On all levels.

I need to move away from this shit hole of a country. I seriously can't see myself survive this place until I'm old. How am I supposed to survive in a country where facts don't matter? Where racism is celebrated? Where fascism is not considered a problem? I can't with this country.
