Why? Because you had students who had never _had_ to study for a math class before show up to your office, freaked out that they just got their first C ever in a math class.

The students do - or they will once they realize how big their student loans will be.

The faculty cares, because giving bad grades and dealing with the consequences is _extremely_ unpleasant.

Real world training is expensive, and the org needs a certain pass rate to achieve an ROI, so you instead you do assessments based on surrogates

I want a public record of some of my stances:
