Justice Department withheld and removed some Epstein files related to Trump
An NPR investigation finds the public database of Epstein files is missing dozens of pages related to sexual abuse accusations against President Trump.
This specific apparent document cover up has been reported over days in multiple posts by independent reporter Sollenberger (sollenbergerrc.substack.com). What is very important NOW is that it broke into the mainstream in a top story by NPR.

This feels big. News about seemingly important missing Epstein files is gaining traction. From a dogged reporter on Substack (thank you @sollenbergerrc.bsky.social) to NPR to the NYT and MS NOW. Congressional hearings next?

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

A now-viral clip shows Pam Bondi pointing, name-calling during her House Judiciary Committee hearing.
Pam Bondi's use of DARVO was called out in social media.
Good because research indicates education about DARVO reduces its power:

The press? So far I am aware of a mention on Feb 10 NYT's "The Daily" and in HuffPo (www.huffpost.com/entry/pam-bo...).

The Emotional Toll of Living With Institutional Betrayal - Dame Magazine
What happens to us when institutions protect power instead of people? From Epstein to ICE, institutional betrayal is inflicting trauma and moral injury.
"How could Jeffrey Epstein’s vicious crimes, his elite network, and . . . watching [ICE] tear families apart, detain children, and cause preventable deaths—all while government officials deny, deflect, and attack critics—not break something in us?"

‘F— Donald Trump’: Hakeem Jeffries blasts the president’s racist Truth Social video post
“This disgusting video posted by the so-called president was done intentionally. F— Donald Trump and his vile, racist and malignant behavior,” said the House minority leader.
Did yesterday's rebuke of Trump (regarding terrible racist post) from power-holders reflect that this post was particularly horrifying or was it indication of a major tide shift - or both?
The rebukes were good news but now we need congressional action.
Our resistance persistence matters so much.

Donald Trump can’t count on Congress to have his back any more
Republicans dealt the president a series of rebukes Thursday that cast fresh doubt about his sway on Capitol Hill.
Stunning votes in both the House (on healthcare) and in the Senate (on war powers) yesterday.
Citizen protests and engagement fuel lawmaker resistance to cruelty, and dishonesty, and tyranny.

“When will it stop?”

"We can be devastated and outraged, and we can force ourselves to take action when that is the last thing our grieving minds want to do. . . . "
“When will it stop?” It will stop when enough of us say so. It is that simple, and that hard."

Judge Says Trump Must End Guard Deployment in Los Angeles
Do not give up! Despair and apathy is exactly what tyrants need. Hope and courage is what brings democracy and decency back.
I honor these courageous judges. Only a fraction of cases get to the Supreme Court; the lower court decisions truly matter.
And I honor the activists for their courage.

Trump's economic approval hits a new low at 36%, poll finds
A new NPR/PBS News/Marist poll finds 70% of Americans say things have become too unaffordable and have a dim outlook on the economy and President Trump's handling of it.
"Trump's handling of the economy has him under water with several key groups, including some that are important to his coalition. For example. . . In the suburbs, which are often critical in swing districts, more disapprove by a 60%-33% margin."
