I had a great Coffee morning at Emmanuel Church in Harlescott speaking to Shrewsbury residents about local issues . I also spoke to Revd Lisa Knight about the brilliant community space. I was also joined by hard-working Shrewsbury Town Councillor, Elisabeth Addams.

#Copenhagen chose. They keep choosing even better every year.

First short journey out on my new Shrewsbury Moves e-bike. Managed to work out the gears and digital gubbins and it’s brilliant - I sailed up the hills and my knackered knees were very grateful for pedal assist! Now I’ve just got to brave going into town.

Paris definitely wasn’t always this way. And the change wasn’t magic, or even hard. This is very recent, and it just took vision and leadership. Your city could choose leadership too if it wanted to.

In 2024 esure were the first insurance company to reveal that default 20mph limits in Wales had reduced damage claims by 20% with a £50 reduction in premiums than otherwise would have been the case. Now others are showing 20mph = fewer crashes = lower premiums. See 24:30 mins in to BBC R4 Today.

Air pollution has dropped significantly in #Paris in the last 15 years. Mayor @annehidalgo.bsky.social’s leadership has traded car space for green space, safe bike space, kid space.. and traded pollution for people.
