Apparently my workout gear is now considered adult content. Watch yourself out there, good lawd.

Struggled through yesterday’s weight routine. I keep thinking of my best and getting frustrated with all the less than ideal workouts. I just kept telling myself a bad workout is still a workout. This morning my glutes and quads are lodging a protest but I don’t care!

Out for a gorgeous beach run this morning and I was way overdressed. Stripped my mid layer before I even started and by the end thought shorts wouldn’t be amiss. The snow is melting before my eyes and leaving a big mess of tangled limbs and snapped branches to clean up. Silver lining free mulch!

It’s been a couple of hazy days as the storm disrupted my timeline. I did a soft opening on Tuesday as the travel ban was still in place. Plows, utilities, police, furnace tech, electricians and house watchers were all out in force as the lineman continued the struggle to get power on.

The joys of having all the gear. It was up to, and over, the tops of my Sorels. Probably about 2ft I would say. Buns were fine and appreciated the water snd greens top off. Got my truck shoveled out and cleaned off for tomorrow morning.

The blizzard is blizzarding. We still have power but we have a direct line to the power company. I made soup on the gas stove and Seth made ice cream from snow. I have to go out soon and check on the buns so I should get a better idea how much snow we got. Over a foot with 50-60mph winds.

I had followed you, I enjoy your posts. I was creeping about trying to find the cheap t-shirt shop you dissed and accidentally hit the unfollow button. My curiosity got the better of me, I confess.

Out early for some last heating oil deliveries before the storm. Got the buns freshened, fed, and locked in their hutches until Tuesday morning. I’ll have to go out in the snow and top them off tomorrow. Then I took myself for another exercise session before everything gets snowed in.

The B word means an extra day off from work, yay!

It was a hectic day at the gas station as people filled up before the storm. Unfortunately, we were out of food so we had to brave the busy grocery store and stock up. Took a much needed walk on the trails with a friend as the sun set. All cozy now eating all the lovely nibbles we bought.

I ordered way too many double hellebores, ranunculus, and heathers. Not to mention the paeonia seeds I have stratifying currently. Not sure where I’ll put them all but I have ideas.

Kind of excited. Guess all my whining for snow cane to fruition.

What great plans for you have? Doing a grocery shop tomorrow. Thinking roasting and making the red sauce from the freezer tomatoes. Might get Monday off too with blizzard potential expected.

Nabbed off EWeather, looking like a blizzard Monday. We’re in the 12”+ and 70+mph wind area. The wind isn’t a problem but the snow might get dicey as we’re used to quick melting dustings. Otherwise it was just another day at the station. Tomorrow will be busy ahead of the storm.

Good evening, got the pole installed for the diesel hose today. When they were finished I got put to work changing out filters and checking strainers. Happy to have that off the to do list until they put the new tank and pump in. Just cozy in bed contemplating tomorrow’s raw wet weather.

It was a grey foggy day which was lovely because it means things are warming up. I got up early and got 6 reps on the bluff stairs in. Then to the shed to sort and file paperwork. All ready for another fire to get rid of old tax papers. Hoping for a nice afternoon in the garden tomorrow.

A day off and spent outside. I sheared all my Spirea, Perovskia, and did some pruning on my Exochorda and Viburnum. I just realized I forgot the Buddleia but it’s buried in a drift anyway. Then it was a good weed on most of the back orchard bee garden areas that were unthawed. All done for now.

The kids are coming along nicely! I got the detail on the dovetails done so now I get to decorate. I have the next two days off but the forecast is going to the ducks. No pruning of the pears but I can shear the spirea and get the Betty Corning clematis taken care of. Spring is coming!

After getting absolutely nothing done I wanted to do today, I took out my frustration on a run. I checked the stairs on the way home and they’re clear enough for a HIIT on Wednesday. Did a quick peek under the copper top on Daffodil hive. The heat coming off the glass was a joy to feel hive alive

Some work on the dovetail corners. I need to finish them off on Monday and then I can get into the freehand design. It was quiet today as everyone is off to warmer climes. Can’t wait for tomorrow and running around the yard like a crazy person now that the snow is almost gone.

Another day of painting this time in the lighter blue at the station. Seems I’ll be needing to do a split in the spring as Daffodil hive is going strong. I also got a tray of hot peppers planted and put them in the boiler room until they break soil. The seed was old and I don’t expect much.

Well the queen is starting to lay eggs now so they’ll be out soon. Mine workers have been out flying the last few days in the afternoon.

I was attempting to get my hive components painted but I kept getting interrupted. Apparently I’ve picked up a few jumping spiders that I relocated back to the office plants. The Frontier onions are looking good and germination rates are high. The girls were out flying yesterday afternoon at 39F.

4 C today here but the ground is still covered in snow. Got my grapevine pruning done anyway while the sun shone.

Day off, woke up with a pounding headache so no beach run today. A delayed start on a trip to the dump with a stop at the station to check on the seed tray. Afterwards got a soup going for this week’s lunch. I finally got outside and got the grape on the arbor pruned. Next day off roses and pears.

Hum drum day at work the past few days. I livened things up by getting some paeonia mlokoaewischii seeds soaking overnight. This morning I put them in some moist soil for warm stratification. No onions up yet which is dissatisfying. At least another amaryllis is showing some color.

I mean is there even a quantifiable amount of cheese to add? Just keep pouring is my motto. That aside it looks good 😋

The day off. With the -16 windchill I decided today was a good day to run the oven. 6 cookie sheets of chopped potatoes par baked and then bagged for the freezer. I only planted 8 potatoes and a 5 gallon pail was my reward in French Fingerlings. Maybe only 4 plants next year.

Or a solid rubber tire, bought them online. I never thought of making one from wood but you certainly could.
