Simms has barely scored all season, the fact that he wasn't used tells you everything you need to know.

How are we in the play offs?

We have lots of players on long contracts so it's hard.
Someone will have to want to sign Simms, Binks, Sheaf, Collins, BTA and so on for the fees we want.

If we go up, only MVE and Rudoni get in Leeds/Burnley/Sheff Utd match squad.

So, it's whole team.

It will, and the player alongside will have to solve quite a few issues.
They will need to be able to play through balls, make more tackles (still can't get over the fact Grimes made none v Sheff Utd) and play at a tempo to break a low block.

I don't think the players around him are that bad.

As I've said in other tweets, he has had poor games and against low blocks he has struggled as much as the next guy.

Against teams who sit deep he has not affected the game in the way we need.

Each time his slow tempo and over reliance on the cross field ball has been easy to defend against.

Yet when we play teams who sit deep his impact is minimal and he resorts to the long cross field pass way to much.

That has been evident against Pompey, Derby, Plymouth and again V Sunderland.

I just think for the money he cost, and his age, he should be looking better.

He didn't drop as deep v Boro and we didn't miss it at all.

It's an easy place to play.

Grimes has had some very poor games since he joined.

I think that Grimes goes there, not under instruction from the management.

Not sold on Grimes, for his age and experience, I keep expecting to see a really good player who unlocks the door.

I prefer Torp if I'm honest.

We watched Luton take the same corner 14 times two weeks ago and we dealt with every single one.

Against Sunderland we put in the same corner and there was no variety and they won every single one.

Sheaf and Grimes doesn't work against teams who sit.

For me Grimes doesn't change tempo.

Two Pompey players going for the same ball had the biggest impact on that result.

I don't rate Simms but BTA is an impact sub at best.
