Hades meets Street of Rage in this wonderfully fleet-footed beat 'em up that I'm pleased to say is more than just a thrilling throwback Absolum proves the arcade beat 'em up and the run-based game are a perfect pairing.

Don't sleep on Absolum. It's not only my favorite roguelite of the year, it's also one of my top games of 2025. It captures the best of Dragon's Crown and Streets of Rage 4-- every run feels like a real adventure and all the fights are so damn cool. I loved it. Keep the roguelite beat-em-ups coming.
