Trump’s bombing of Iran is reckless and a direct threat to American and Iranian lives. Launching military strikes without congressional authorization or evidence of an imminent threat is not strength. It is an abuse of power.

Indivisible CSRA Logo Statement on Alex Pretti ICE took another life, needlessly. Renee Nicole Good, Keith Porter Jr., amongst others continue to be killed or subjected to the violence of ICE. And, now, Alex Pretti. Alex Pretti, of Minneapolis, was a VA Nurse, Union member, and he cared deeply for his community. His peaceful resistance will not be forgotten. This is abhorrent, and we must meet the moment with grounded action. Our principles of grounded organizing and radical hope tell us that we must not be despondent, but act with considered intent. We must also look to those most experienced, at the epicenter of this fight. The spin and slander from the right, that characterizes people like Alex and Renee as “domestic terrorists” will not change what is plain to any reasonable viewer: Government sanctioned paramilitary groups are committing extrajudicial killings. What we can do: First, learn from those who are experienced in observing. Immigration organizations recommend using the SALUTE method. If you do not have all the following information, continue to observe until you do before sharing the information with your community. Support action not panic: Size/Strength: “How many agents?” Actions/Activity: “What are agents doing?” Location/Direction: “Address or cross streets of activity” Uniform/Clothes: “What are the agents wearing?” Time and date: “What is the time and date of activity?” Equipment/Weapons: “What equipment and weapons do agents have on them?” 1 of 2
