Thats helped me be more objective abt my crashouts thats for sure, now iexplain whats happening out loud and then reframe it to reality as a grounding exercise and its alleviated over time

I was v confused abt my symptoms bc it seemed like "quiet" bpd but i realized that it seemed to be mofe linked to tiggering conditions than consistently happening and related more to schemas than a peristant behavior

Doctors r making their best guess, an informed patient who has language to describe their experience but not background to assert diagnosis shouldnt b devalued

Mental illness posers, i dont believe in that. I think if ur sick enough to talk about it or use it for attention you deserve help and that quality of help should not depend on the word used to explain how u suffer. It should depend on what impacts u experience to ur functionality

And also the language around the bpd diagnosis can give you a tool to find genuine relief from symptoms that may be BPD

A professional diagnosis isnt really required IMO. We r never going to have the exact answer for our problems bc life has a lot of gray but i hate this perception of

I will say as someone navigating mental health issues in my life and with all of my close relatives, i am of the opinion a diagnosis is a direction of symptom alleviation rather than a finite attribute

Like if find that describing your condition as BPD means u can talk about it with clarity
