71. I was delighted to get my hands on this! A book I really wish I'd had access to as a young history teacher. Extremely thorough and in-depth but I also loved the scenarios and practical lesson/scheme exemplars. Excellent read.

This is true- it might reawaken with curric review, but soft treading will probably mitigate

4) It often feels like everything usually comes back to money, because schools and teachers constantly exhausted by the lack of resource- there is more firefighting daily so less room/energy to do the extra in the evenings?

1. Twitter becoming unusable
2. Generational shift of people who usually blogged/provoked chat into senior leadership where they are a) more conscious of institutional responsibility and b) teaching less
3.) no Big Issue? (curric reform, assessment without levels, whatever) SEND ongoing, AI maybe?

Government revives family services, supporting 500,000 more kids Up to 1,000 Best Start Family Hubs to be rolled out across the country to provide wide-ranging help for families, such as parenting and early development.

Sure Start is coming back.

The Labour government is to open 1000 Best Start Family Hubs covering every local authority. The first will be in place by April 2026 & all by 2028.

They will combine existing Family Hubs & the Start for Life programme & also cover areas without these services.
