Characters or character concepts first. Then important scenes in various parts of the story that I wrestle into a plot. Then refining the plot, the scenes and the characters as I go along.

Sometimes discovering new layers of a character helps really understand and flesh out a future scene better.

Was trying to write material for "do you wanna publish my webcomic"-document.

Aaand ended up writing a ton of character summaries, lore and scene ideas instead.

My cousin's three-year-old's overjoyed reaction when they received a "Taikuri tarra" (Magician sticker).

They haven't read or seen the comic, but they love the pins in my bag. One of the pins has my characters on it.

They were just happy that they got a sticker of a character from the the pin. 🧡

- First version: Hmm, Murmeli's hair is not quite wild enough.
- Second version: That looks too weird.
- Third version: Needs a couple tweaks to look perfect.
- Forth version: ...send help.

Getting new glasses is always a challenge...

When I don't need a new pair, there are many nice frames available. But when I try to buy new ones the frame fashion has JUST changed to something I don't particularly care for.

I somehow always manage to be out of sync with the trends. :"D

Don't table at cons, but working on my webcomic on a snail phase. Basically updating a page spread a month.

Tried first updating every two weeks, but that was a bit too much to juggle with full time job. Ate up all freetime and page quality started to suffer.

Slow is better than burn out.

Seeing the Bill Watterson originals full of pencil lines of stuff that didn’t work, scuffs the eraser didn’t pick up, white out galore and more was something I needed to see to remind myself that nothing is perfect the first go and tweaks need to be made and you’re allowed to try again.

Had awesome day at the Helsinki comic festival today~~!

Met many awesome artists. Gave out a bunch of stickers (cats and crows ran out).

Also had the winner annoucement for the Zine Fest competition!

"Book of Change" won 3rd place! :D
