My autism is interesting: planning for a 23-day road trip has been feeling great, then a small change in plans that is totally manageable threw me into a brief episode this mornings. Pens and notebook soared toward the tv and I had to go lay down.

I’m gonna do better, Blsky. I promise. The thing is, I went crazy this summer and drove all around the #PNW catching fish and forgot about everything else. #flyfishing has consumed my life. It’s made me even more socially dysfunctional than before. God, I love my life so much.

Good time on the Donner and Blitzen… deep and murky, but I got an 18 incher to eat a Dali Lama. What a fight, too. This thing was an acrobat! Wild redsides! Woohoo!

Heading out to the Donner and Blitzen River tomorrow. 6 hr drive into the desert and I am STOKED. Should be some good material for an article.

Change is hard. There’s a lot of sliding backward during the process. The solution? Begin again. Always, begin again.

I’m awful at that river. I keep going back, though. I peeled a streamer at a bull trout for about 15 minutes and it just kept giving me the middle finger hahaha. I was camped at Lower Bridge– amazing campground! There’s some great wild sites around there, too.
