The existence of an "automation tab" really says a lot

Being able to fully automate large portions of the game is going to be a great learning tool. It still feels quite complicated when making heavy use of it though lol

On a more serious note, @bretdevereaux.bsky.social has some very good articles about it from a historian's perspective which are great reads acoup.blog/2021/04/30/c...

A doctor friend I asked told me it was most likely an altoid unfortunately.

I refuse to believe you actually read their comment that way. You are either trolling very badly or a complete moron. Both good enough reasons for a ban IMO.

I’m beginning to believe you got banned for simply being a tremendous asshole. Jules said nothing of the sort. Reread the conversation.

Economic Manuscripts: Capital Vol. I β€” Chapter Fifteen Capital Vol. I : Chapter Fifteen (Machinery and Modern Industry)

We've been through this before, yes, but the petite bourgeoisie were on the whole wrong. Marx had to write a whole chapter of Capital about why they were wrong. www.marxists.org/archive/marx...

Removing someone's access without sending them a "Your access will be removed in 14/7/2/1 days" email on at least 2 occasions including the day before is bad practice too IMO. Sorry you're dealing with this.

When I worked in University IT we always waited 6 months to a year after departure to deactivate emails for exactly this reason. The only times we immediately deactivated an email is if someone was fired for cause and they were a threat to the university still having it.

hey quick question: why did you grant anonymity to a source whose identity is already published and easily accessible? was it because he's an avowed eugenicist and white supremacist? or simply because you're a moron?

At some point Johnson will change his vote to no and end the vote, which will allow him to bring it up again tomorrow. Doesn’t solve any of his problems though, and I’m honestly pretty surprised the ghouls in the freedom caucus haven’t caved.

Reorientation and despinning of 4 Vesta formed the Divalia Fossae The Divalia Fossae are formed by tectonic stresses from reorientation and despinning of Vesta caused by large impacts.

I never understood why I ate so much rotisserie chicken growing up. Now that I'm an adult, It makes so much sense why my parents found it a very appealing option for feeding 4 children.

I strongly believe in a true abundance agenda:

-Open borders (goods + people)
-UBI funded by land value taxes
-Zoning Reform
-Gov't investment in renewable energy

I think this agenda could make the country more prosperous with minimal market disruption/redistribution

It polls at probably 12%

Are you seriously claiming the original post means for us to understand they want OpenAI to continue having access to IP?

01.06.2025 19:32 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

The reason people are invoking his death is to support the idea that IP law should be enforced more strictly. That is the problem at the core of this all, that the whole purpose of bringing him up is to support an idea he would have abhorred.

01.06.2025 18:59 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

You are being told by people who actually knew him that you are misrepresenting what he stood for and you are now quadrupling down on using a dead man's name to advocate something he would never have supported.

01.06.2025 18:28 β€” πŸ‘ 8    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Please don’t use my friend’s name to make this point in this way, especially inaccurately. He was *not* sentenced. And the JSTOR articles he wanted people to have unfettered access to, including for purposes of machine learning analysis, are also copyrighted material. You can just critique OpenAI.

I invite you to consider how Aarron Schwatz would feel about you invoking his name and death to support the cause of *increasing* how strict IP law is.

Again, read the page you are linking! It does not say what you think it says.

31.05.2025 19:59 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

If you actually read the papers linked on the page they are uniformly about treatment providers or policy makers making worse choices if they hold negative views of addicts. That is an orthogonal point to mine.
