In response, Mike Davis (well-connected in Trump World & on the Hill) called Jeffries a “house slave” for George Soros - proving Jeffries’ point.

Wow! I just read the full article and it's so much worse than I expected... and I expected it to be bad.

Saying SCOTUS is 'reluctant to constrain the imperial presidency' presupposes that the majority doesn't want an an all-powerful president... at least when it's the president is a right-wing, pro-oligarch christian nationalist like Trump.
