A music student sang protest songs in St. Petersburg. Then she was arrested. The rare act of protest comes as Russia has cracked down on the arts, forcing out those who disagree with its war on Ukraine and quashing any acts of dissent.

A small crowd of young people gathered in central St. Petersburg, Russia, to sing anti-war and anti-Kremlin songs, led by 18-year-old performer Diana Loginova.
