Like you, I was horrified to learn that federal immigration agents brutalized and murdered yet another person in Minneapolis. My thoughts and condolences are with Alex Pretti's loved ones, and with all those who have experienced CBP and ICE's violence, which happens DAILY. What we witness on camera or in person is just a glimpse. We must not mince words: Abolishing ICE is the compromise position.
While the federal government effectively celebrates another extrajudicial killing, New York must lead with conviction and show meaningful resistance to these agencies, instead of mere lip service. New York State legislators MUST pass the NY For All Act now. Legislators must also commit to supporting prosecution of federal agents who violate the civil and human rights of New Yorkers. This is the LEAST we can do to support the incredible resistance from everyday people everywhere standing up to CBP, DHS, and ICE.
Abolish ICE.
Protect our communities.
Demand NY4All.
