You could make a big list of all of Anne Rice's hyperfixations and it would be truly insane, but I keep on stumbling across even more of them. Truly the Hyperfixation Queen, the constant revolving hyperfixation on something was much more of who she was than anything having to do with vampires was.

People never talk about how Anne Rice was slightly obsessed with Haiti. I stumbled on a whole rabbit hole about this the other day while I was trying to do something much more specific, and it is a hyper fixation that appears in her work, but I didn't think about it until I saw it outside the books.

Trying not to post about it too much because I can't share a lot of it for copyright reasons, but I feel very lucky that I was able to go and I am very happy with a lot of the stuff that I was able to get copies of for myself. My nerd heart is happy, that is my point.

Hollywood is not demonic. A celebrity is not demonic. A politician is not demonic. Stop playing D&D with religion in your head with vibes as dice!

Not that anyone on here would disagree, but 100% of the time, the moment I hear the word "demonic" or "demons" used unironically I stop listening and completely discount anything that person has said up to that point. It is never, and has never, not been an extremist spiral talking point.
