Oooh I had the same experience with one last week in the Swiss Alps. They are daunting and a little humbling when they stare at you like this.

Day up, day down. To make time count try counting time. For that you need a beginning and an end marker. Sadly, it doesn’t necessarily follow that you’ve made time count.

They actually are wonderful fun and a lot more are still hatching. They’re in a pond next to my house and they go through their various phases until they become little frogs in July. And then they migrate down the mountain side until next February. Delightful creatures.

I’ve tried that, but didn’t find it very effective. I forgot to mention probably the most common use, which is dropping them in black tea.

A little air pollution in the Val d’Anniviers across the Rhone, a real traffic stopper. But it seems it was dust from a construction site rather than a fire, and you can see that three hours later there was no sign of β€œsmokeβ€œ. It drifted over a very large area, interesting to see how it moves.οΏΌ

Great for breaking up in muffins or cookies and nice in gin and tonics or added to cranberries as they cook. Mostly in carrot/pumpkin/sweet potato soup with homemade bone broth πŸ₯°

YouTube, but I could only find an excerpt. It all came back – we used to be huge fans at my house. Really, it should be revived. Two mice for our times.
