🐝 47 Bees 🐝

This art features 100 bees of various colors and shapes. These bees are designed in a cartoonish style, based on real species. The common name or species is written below the animals. Some bees are moving leaves, scraping plant hair, or sticking out their tongues. Some male bees have hairy faces and unusually shaped legs. There are also baby bees that have just hatched from their petal nests. Cute and colorful atmosphere. There are over 20,000 species of bees, so I only depicted a very small fraction of them!

anyway thats it i just wanted to rant about it. good reminder i really love horror/horror adjacent things and some write ups about black horror i've read before. also a reminder i need to actually finish some horror/black horror books i've started and never finished cause i'm allergic to reading

anyway and very obvious would be the color white - the spiritual, which is different than supernatural. Annie at the end. the church being white. white used as what we think is spiritual, or maybe more accurately, where we go in the afterlife regardless of where you believe that is.

the color OPPOSITE to blue. you know what wasn't orange? the church. Mostly white...but something that stuck with me is i recalled shots where even the church...was tinged with blue.

something i keep wondering is where smoke and stack fit into this dichotomy. why wasn't smoke red/orange? hm.

the thing that struck me first was the use of blue - that very moonlit, supernatural, deep blue. 2/3 initial vampires are wearing blue. the nighttime outside the juke joint is blue - if i recall...there were moments inside the church tinged w/ blue.

vs ORANGE - the color of sun, fire - and MUSIC -

was watching some bts vids about Sinners
and something that keeps sticking with me is the color palettes of the film, in particular the red/orange, blue, and white.

This may have significant consequences for U.S. copyright policy, as the Librarian supervises the Register of Copyrights. I would pay attention to any maneuvering in the Copyright Office, particularly given its relatively cool attitude toward AI copyrightability and training fair use.

I will always remember this ep fondly - shoutout to our SP Zesung Kang for letting me jump in to help board for this ep, & to Michael Mullen for giving me some really great direction for this sequence. It was an honor to work on this ep :]

I got the chance to board a sequence with my N6 fav (Kenji :]) and really take some slow and gentle time with the acting.
