Improvements to my little fire system for #Tumblefire in #Godot!
The flame is now a shader to mimic actual fire, and it's a singular quad facing the camera at all times instead of multiple quads intersecting.

I messed around with that for a bit but had some issues with the collisions, great suggestion though! If I fix the collision issue I'd definitely go that route.
Ended up rotating the joint around a bit and it works great now.
Dumpster lids can now be opened by hand!

Love to see someone else creating a cooking game and at similar a progress point in development.
What's the inspiration for it? I was inspired by Overcooked/Human Fall Flat to create a mixture of the genres
Ha! I had problems the other day when I was using dynamic trimesh on my gltf imports, but switching to the box shape type solved my interaction issues.
Gotta love boxes.

Trickiest part has been the collisions and physics interactions.
Been loving Jolt Physics for interactions, as it solved my bouncing issues, but it makes the arms of my character a bit jank.
