I'm used to having to convince coastal types that there are people out there who genuinely believe in libertarian and traditionalist principles (rather than as laundry for regular bigotry). rarely, however, do you see those types publicly confronted with how little company they actually have

Ice was spotted outside the home of a Hispanic family in my neighborhood this morning. Two masked, armored, armed individuals in an unmarked white panel van, as well as SUV and extended cab pickup with full tint windows, unknown# of individuals inside. Wilton neighborhood of New Castle, Delaware.
About this: This practice of churches providing groceries/supplies to immigrant families who are afraid to leave their homes out of fear of ICE is widespread, and widely reported.
What's different here is the *scale* of operations this one church is overseeing, and how public they are about it.

I think it makes an excellent alternative to the Japanese Wisteria that I had planning on planting - using cuttings from the ones at my childhood home in north Wilmington. It has similar foliage, but Wisteria is invasive, and spreads horizontally, not just vertically.
The out of control creeping vine - that we have allowed to grow on our fence to provide privacy to our hot tub - has bloomed. It turns out to be a Trumpet Vine, which has lots of beautiful large flowers, and is native to the area!
