People are mad with this lineup (I'd imagine, mainly Burn LB). But, I think this is a very creative lineup, with Willock and Ramsey in there, set up to break down a low block. And that back 4 will end up being a back 3 on the attack with Tino pushing into midfield.

Tonali is touch and go, he'll be rested for midweek/derby.

TBF, 3 goals, about 8 subs and a 5 minute stop for VAR. I don't think we can moan about 9 minutes.
The ball bobbled through 3 players. Thats the start and finish of the discussion. Ramsdale had to wait, making it awkward. It should have been cleared.

We all felt this last year as well, people were calling for Howe's head before xmas. Its just the second half of the season erased everyones memory.
This isn't new, we don't start fast. But it's not a disaster. The league is unbelievably tight, and like last year some teams at the top will drop off.

Which is why I said better than I expected. He dealt with most of them fine, that one wasn't the best punch (but Thiaw would have got a head on it if he wasn't on the floor with 2 Spurs players on top of him) and someone still should have cleared it.

And small, local coffee shops will appear in their place to take up the shortfall. Paying tax, supporting local people.

While you can't hide from conceding 2 from 2 on target, I do think Ramsdale was better at collecting balls into the box than I expected.
And While I also think he probably should have saved the 2nd one, I think ultimately it shouldn't have reached him. A defended should've put their boot through it.

I think that might be the case. Ramsey+Bruno gives more penetration against what will, likely, be a low block v Burnley. Gordon is the surprise for me.

I think that stems from a perceived drop off from last year. He was imperious at CB last year, but has struggled (slightly) at LB. Now we've got him back in at CB hopefully that's the end of that chat.

How much stock is put into it? Like, the U-21s is often used to breed experience and bring players on so "winning" isn't necceccarilly the 1st priority (as Harper said). Is this the same with the Euro Youth league?

I think the point is the Asylum problem is the ghost, not the anti-immigration sentiment. By going after the votes who want tohe "problem" fixed he is alienating his own voter-base (especially those who were the more left-handed Labour voters). Which is clear from the Green surge.

Player liason. Talking to the players, making sure they are happy... The loans aren't working out well, but just cos people didn't like Shola as a player doesn't mean he's useless.

Harper spoke about the loan situation on PotT the other week, and long story short there's more to a loan than minutes. I'm sure there will be a dissapointment in not getting more minutes, but learning to cope in the environment is a big part of it as well, especially for the younger ones.
