Yes it's a bug, we fixed it already on pc and sent a patch to Nintendo for approval, it will be fixed soon.
Thanks a lot for reporting, if you find other bugs don't hesitate to report them.

I reduce difficulty of the snowboard achievement a bit in the recent patch (depending on which platform you play this might be already patched)

It is a bug. I'm sorry.
it disables the water layer.
Restarting the game fixes it for a while.
We are already working on a fix.

Ok, I knew something like this on PlayStation but switch version is new.
Can you explain a bit more in detail? where did you save last and how much was it rolled back?
On console versions is an issue with saving when beating the game. Top Hat (console porting) knows about it and will fix it soon.

As a physical collector myself, I can absolutely understand you.

its a bug, restart the game and it's fixed.
Its related to the second dungeon and the water mechanic there.
We are working on a patch
