Today is the anniversary of my older brother being shot. It’s also my mother’s birthday. Feeling sad that he’s no longer here with us, but grateful that despite her challenges Mum is still here. Life will always have these moments of multiplicities. 🥹

I’d always said that if/when I got married I want a small intimate service with closest family and friends or to maybe even elope. After this shower experience, I am absolutely certain that is the game plan. 🙂‍↕️

I can do without lip service. Don’t offer me help and then bail on me. We could have saved that energy.

During the summer my nieces fed and named a dog that hangs around the yard. To this day whenever I open the front door or get home she’s there lingering for scraps or head scratches. I’ve seriously thought about adopting her but I really can’t take on any more responsibilities at this point. 😭
