This is the greatest.

"Be a human" - write a question / ask for a picture.
"Pretend to be AI" - answer a question / draw a picture.

No environmental catastophe or nazis required.

PS: see screenshot for my first question.
And a random stranger's humanity-affirming reply.

I've never been tempted by turn-based stuff before.
But I LOVE this trailer. Not enough games come from an Indian perspective.

Did you ever play "Bollywood Wannabe", Alice?
Fun indie game from the early 2010's.

Amazing story.
A depressing read, but well done.

That gut-punch conversation between Turk & JD in episode one (No details, No spoiler) was the moment I knew they were back.

The new interns are great, but I'm 50% on the HR lady. Not sure.

Can't believe how close the set is, to the original.
Even the intro has been redone properly.

I actually had some super-random machines before the c64.

The Dick Smith Wizzard (aka Creativision elsewhere) had a library of pretty good arcade ripoffs. Then the Dick Smith VZ300 with unbelievably blocky graphics.

Both were kind of Aussie masupial computers. Unique "down under".

I miss the late 90s/early 00's era of Retrogames.com etc etc.

Re difficulty level - of course!
Expectations fully calibrated.

I didn't grow up with the NES, it was C64 at my place. But I'm a big MAME player, and thus trained for 80s difficulty πŸ˜‰

Great interview. Time Extension does fantastic work. I'll have to fire up a NES emu and check it out.

Oh yes, Retro Gamer was a dream gig. Did a few double-page spreads called "Why you must play". Each with a lesser known arcade game plus 6 home conversations. eg Mr Heli, Power Drift.

Yes yes, I expanded the thread to see how it all worked. Anyway, nice to come across a fellow writer + KLF fan. They actually get a mention in my long-delayed memoir.

I've gotta say, I only expanded this thread to find how on EARTH it went from "How to train your dragon" to "The KLF".

Anyway, thanks for the tip re their ambient album. Will check it out. #MuMu

Just note that I put "interviews" in inverted commas ;-)

If you haven't already, check out his "interviews" on Sizzletown, the Tony Martin podcast.

The one where he gets in an argument with Tony's cat is an all-time classic.

Well, my only tip for that stage - unoriginal as it is - is you can always write when they're older. 4 and 2 will never happen again.

Starter packs are the greatest invention. 😎

In terms of writing around the needs of smaller people, much of my book has been written on a laptop, parked outside after-school activities.

And in the early days (kids were 4 and 2 at the time) my wife and I would get up @ 4:45am and work for an hour. Writing for me, study for her.

Hello Jessica, welcome to Bluesky.

I loved "old-school Twitter", but jumped when it got ugly. Moved here and never looked back.

I've been writing Aussie radio creative for decades, with some freelancing for papers/mags/online. Now, I'm near the end of draft 1 of my memoir.

Damn, I didn't realise this. I coulda been doing crazy vehicular stunts in Vice City to The Vengabus!

Hope it works for you.

I used to use iGoogle back in the day, and then Netvibes.
But both shut down.

I'm HOPING this one stays for a long time.

If I had a time machine, I would have hired Hot Gossip.

I'm no journo, but I find start.me great.

You can add a bunch of RSS feeds to it, you have your own old-school "internet at a glance" page.

Hmmmm very strange. My card definitely didn't work, despite using it previously to buy tickets at The Civic. on. A workmate also tried to use her Visa debit card and that didn't work. In her case she called them and did it "manually".

Hopefully it was just a temporary glitch.

09.02.2026 00:50 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

It's a strange error. I use that card constantly online and I've not come across it before.

Hey guys, amazing programme - as usual.
Each year, NWF gets better.

Just one technical issue - I couldn't buy via Civic Theatre site using an ING Visa card. Had to borrow someone else's card.

See error below.

" You know... guy sitting on the steps... with a briefcase....."

Ok, well clearly the dentist was too old in the 90s, and the assistant yet to be born.
