After ten weeks of sleeping on a shitty college dorm mattress, this Hampton Inn bed feels like heaven.

The Windmill people finally answered my email (they were gone all summer?!?) and I should have the issue with my essay in it in my hands in the next couple of weeks!

She was so gracious despite my saltiness re no responses for months. I was justified but still appreciate her response.

Buddy I’ve done time in Ohio, I know just what you mean. Spent part of today in New River Gorge National Park. Who knew highways could be so beautiful.

Look I’ve been to many places in the world and still maintain that, with all the overwhelming beauty everywhere, West Virginia is still the most beautiful.

I decided to just step away from many of my extended family too. I couldn’t get them to listen to The Cure in the 80s, I definitely won’t be able to convince them to move left or even be reasonable 🤷

Right? I mean I miss my dad but we would definitely not be on speaking terms if he were still alive.

No 😭 He was a super sweet kid and kind to everybody at school. I named my Cabbage Patch Kid after him. He went mega church as he got older though, hence the change.

I just said my see-ya-laters to my theatre company for the season as all but five of us head back to our homes across the country. We sat outside on a reserved patio at a brewery, ate dill pickle pizza, I had a lovely gin drink with honey and lavender. There were so many hugs.

I’m gonna say it…it’s nice to be competent in several areas. I used to feel weird about people approaching me to do work for them — embarrassed somehow? — but now I’m honored and am learning when to say yes.
