The Board and cry baby Kevin Crye are trying to oppose a new behavioral health facility that will provide literal life saving services to our community. Instead Crye sponsors Gallagher and his proposition to split CA into two states. Fascists are always wasting our time and our money.

Disgusted at the Shasta County Board of Supervisors (as per usual) the way they wasted tax payer dollars and everyone’s time at the BoS meeting today, allowing James Gallagher to spout about splitting CA into two states. There are so many more important things we can do with this time! And money!

SNAP has existed for 60 years. Benefits have gone out every single month over those six decades, including during government shutdowns. Until now.

Make no mistake: The money is available to fund SNAP during this shutdown. Trump is making a choice to withhold it.

Im often asked “what’s the worst thing you’ve ever seen as a nurse” and after almost a decade in healthcare I believe it’s poverty and how it drives all of societies problems and exacerbates them. We as a country have the means to fix this and yet we don’t.

But now he has to pick insurance for his family or a roof. Or maybe he can’t afford either. And his family will be Cold and he can’t afford his kids insulin. Anyway this is all to say that it all connected and will have devastating effects on the economy and the general population of the US

And the sales person for the farm equipment was banking on the commission from the sale to repair the roof on his house and pay for increased health insurance premiums

That small farm stand or grocery store is probably going to loose tens or hundreds of customers who only spend $50 on fresh produce, but now they can’t buy new farm equipment

13% of maines population is about to loose food assistance and I’m just sad. Many see this as “87% are still fine” but when people can’t use their benefits the farmers market or local small grocery store that has trickle down benefits
