I’m also impressed with both story modes in MK1, they’re both a breath of fresh air. I’m especially pleased Tower endings are canon with each other, as well as the environments and character revamps. And an added bonus (at least for me), the character roster is so smoking hot.

For me, I saw Netflix as lesser of the two evils between Skydance and Comcast, especially since Netflix has a lot of great content and have good relations with the gaming industry. I’m cautiously optimistic that Netflix will take care of WBD. I do get where the other side is coming from as well.

Wow. Cary was a year older than my dad. And the fact that Cary died of stroke complications and that my dad had 3 warning strokes in 2022 (2 out of the 3 of them were 6 months apart) hit me hard as well.

Agreed. As a Tekken fan, the movies left much to be desired, however Cary nailed it as Heihachi. That was the best thing about them.

I grew up in the 90’s myself, that MK movie holds a special place in my heart. Cary was the quintessential Shang Tsung. I’m deeply saddened by this loss but I’m grateful that he shared his gift with us.
