New E-Bike Legislation That Includes Mandatory License Plates Panned by Bike Safety Advocates - Streetsblog California I think everyone agrees there's a safety issue with motorized bikes and modified e-bikes being treated as bicycles, but based on early reviews this legislation won't solve those problems.

There are two groups of people ruining E-bikes.

The people riding, Emoto styled bikes, and the people who think giving electric bicycles license plate plates will solve the safety problem.

The people behind this joke of a Bill need to wake up

Where should cities start with their cycling networks?

Not with the once-a-day commute.

Design for the short, frequent trips: to school, the shop, childcare, or the train. The journeys we make again and again.

Because if cycling works for daily life, it works for everyone.
