it’s the same thing using a couple ordinary ass pillows and some bedsheets to represent ourselves and our touch, when that becomes your mode of communication it’s as real as anything else. it’s “removed” from literal experience but we’re human, we’re good at momentarily living in the clouds

“phrasing” is a sort of linguistic and definitely social aspect that comes through obviously but experientially invisibly with text, and i think we can take advantage of our familiarity with that… phrasing IS expression, it’s where your meaning and consciousness and experience all shift to meet

i think if we change the way we experience instant-scale time* then we can probably work on a more cognitive “i do something you instinctively react to it” level

this is already something we’re used to with scening over text, expressing jusssst after we cognitively understand our reaction

however, we’ve been getting a lot better (just naturally/accidentally…) at sort of transmitting emotional energy between us… for example in exciting temporally buffered ways

lan at front does something, it strikes a feeling in me, i with my agency (*and* hers to accept it) give a feeling in return

the core idea is expressing touch in a way where you can feel the way *they* feel your touch. if you pass energy into someone then it will also come out of them and back into you

if i use obj X to gingerly touch obj Y then none of that *physical* energy is going to transfer thru Y back to me

my prior art is in wrapping us up cocoon style and using pressure to make really vivid uber-close, full body contact kind of touching. i still know how to do that but i would like to be able to express more gentle particular tail touches too, and that’s tricky because (flails) we don’t HAVE a tail

im so tired today and that’s coloring my perception for sure, but something sort of too bad, UNTIL WE LEARN, is we might be a bit better at modeling the touch of me and my tail than *being* me and my tail

i have done a lot of shenanigans but im not sure i still have the confidence i did then

for a little while today i had my hair down and under my big puffy sweater and that was affirming, i felt fluffy like im supposed to, i felt it touching my clothes like it would. id like some more of that
