This is *amazing* so far. Do not read at night. Ursula Veron and @kjcharleswriter.com are pretty much tied at this point for writing books where I realize I *was* reading the book and now I'm five citations deep in a rabbit hole about the Angel of Mons or horrifying mine gases.

I just got a VERY interesting email that allies in congress were upset that so many of my readers were calling about the anti-trans provisions. I'm here to say: good. I won't let them throw our rights under the bus by cover of night.
All's that to say, keep up the calls. They're hearing you.

Trump and his powerful friends are creating a dangerous moment for free speech.
My biggest concern about TikTok being sold to Trump-aligned American investors is that, at this point, there is far more cause for alarm from domestic surveillance than from foreign adversaries.

Oscarville, Georgia, is a former town now submerged beneath Lake Lanier in 1950.
It was once a majority-Black town in Forsyth County, known for a series of violent events and racially motivated riots in 1912 that led to the forced displacement of most Black residents from the county.

Ex-farm worker here.
We need to talk about this whole "But a living wage for farm workers would spike the cost of food!" thing.
Not true AT ALL.
Y'all don't understand how fast experienced farm workers are.
The average tomato picker pulls 650lbs per hour.
At $20/hr, that's $0.03/lb for labor.
