Simple, humor, but it was the best he could offer so Robin would not dwell on things for too long. But patching up a once already repaired wall should offer ample distraction.

“Well, whatever happens, I am sure it will be a positive outcome. With how you are I can only ascertain you have a pleasant background,” Chrom added.

“Who knows? Maybe you might find something new with a hammer and nail in hand. Perhaps you were a once-famed woodworker in your mirthful days. +

“…She certainly does have pink hair, of some shade. A great inspiration too.”

He’s not going to comment on the other parts, simply because he honestly doesn’t watch that much.

“Hm…I think I have heard the name before. Dancers seem to be more common than I had imagined.”

“Good morning. Best to get a head start on the day while we can.”

“Ah, it’s all right! Nothing to apologize for.”

It seems his charm skill may have been in effect.

“I have stepped foot in Askr a few times as well, but yes, she is a dancer. One of the best I have seen as well. Your attire reminded me something akin to it so I was curious.”

+ time it would be a rude awakening for the both of them…

“And you /will/ get there, my friend. With this war done, there is plenty of time to find these answers, and I will be by your side every step of the way.” Chrom gave him a firm, friendly pat on the shoulder. A sign the exalt was with his tactician. “Maybe we’ll get a sign sooner or later.”

“Do you know Olivia by chance?”

“Ah, well then I guess you got lucky. …Debatable, actually, depending on what he had you do.” Chrom chuckled at the serious nature. Robin taking things literal so often was always humorous. “Guess you’re cut out for taking it easy the rest of the day then?”

“Yeah, you’re right about that. Hah…swings with a sword are good and all, but keep everything on top shape.” A glance over at Robin, “Strange you compliment the workout, but idly stand by?” He smirked, jokingly.

Everything is going well, besides that. I think it’s safe to say training can end early for now, haha.

Hopefully he can stay occupied with this while Robin deals with other matters at hand.

Chrom would have felt worse if he had in all honesty. Still, it is not a fun task. It was time for Vaike and Chrom to right their own wrongs.
