When I did paint for filthy lucre in the late 70s and early 80s it was good to sell work as quickly as possible.

After a painting left the little room I worked in to live somewhere else - I could hardly break in to the buyer's house to make revisions while they slept.

My 'music wife' Sam had similar difficulties in school because of being left-handed.

One of the myths though about fiddle playing is that the finger position is of maximum importance - most of the 'tone' of violin playing comes from the bowing arm - which is weak in many right handed students!

I used acrylic a couple of times - I found that if I didn't clean my brushes promptly they would set like concrete!

I loved pastels - both chalk and oil - I used a lot of chalk pastel and opaque water colour together. Oil washes too with turpentine.

I find the same with breathing on occasion.

"Cribbage in a Cafe," is a marvelous title.
