Yep, I agree with all of this - a way for people to privately abstain from voting would be the right thing for Elections Canada & Elections Ontario (and others) to offer.

Big Voting Nerd here. This made me really curious, because in ON, you can ‘decline’ your ballot & have that counted separate from spoiled ballots. Most folks don’t know that is even an option, but I do think more would vote if they had the same/similar option federally.
