I am in full agreement for legislation, but it isn't a complete solution. We need a large investment into making the actual practice of creating this imagery, and into any abusive sexualisation, an unacceptable part of society. There are far too many people, often male, who don't see it as an issue.

I think we should explicitly criminalise the nonconsensual creation, posting & sharing of sexualised deepfakes because the harm is the same as real intimate images shared w/o consent. However, this doesn't solve lots of issues related to deepfakes like this, for eg, the advertising of apps/websites

Benevolent Sexism

This is really a term.

It’s the sort of sexism where women are put on a pedestal, paragons of purity and motherly virtue. To be protected by men, as clearly, they are ‘the fairer sex’.

I just got the follow up apology letter for them sending it to everyone on a different mailing list. To be honest it was one of the nicest unsolicited emails I have ever received.
