roadhouseendgame i was talking to my mom about cardassians and said something along the lines of what must it be like to be a cardassian civilian. like abstractly knowing the rest of the galaxy thinks of your species as 'the evil ones' and kinda sorta knowing your government runs labor camps and torture prisons and is a military empire, and it's a huge deal for everyone else in the galaxy, but you just like run a restaurant so it's not a big part of your daily life, so you just like, go about your day and make soup and don't think about it' and then halfway through my sentence i actually heard myself and then had to go sit down for like ten minutes. like sat down in a chair and stared at the floor for ten minutes

I get it. Lotsa people liked this guy. He had some appealing traits. But, um...absolutely not. His judgment sucks.

Trump getting U.S. service members killed in a war the vast majority of Americans oppose is frankly all we should be talking about right now.

At a minimum, it should be treated with the same level of shock, outrage and discourse that the right fomented after Benghazi and the Afghanistan withdrawal.

I get it - they are colleagues. They are in each other's Dunbar number. Many have known each other a long time. But by either tacit agreement, or intention, the GOP is agreeing to destroy America as we know it to enrich themselves and elected Democrats are refusing to recognize it.

THE GOP IS NOT OUR FRIEND. And this elected crop of democrats cant figure that out.

Democrats applauded Trump at THIS state of the Union.

After Minnesota. After Venezuela. After Epatein. After Chicago and LA.

Literally applauded him. Its not required. They didn't need to go. They certainly didnt need to applaud.

This is right. And people hate to hear it, but Joe Biden’s single most important task was to Trump-proof the US.

His task was to destroy the Republican Party to punish them for Trump, salt the earth over them, and implement big structural reforms to stop future R minority extremism.
And he failed.

Judicial nominations are a big deal. Conservatives have fixated on them for a generation, the left hasn’t, and the consequences have been enormous.

With 3 new circuit court vacancies and maybe a Supreme Court vacancy coming, now’s a great time to start paying closer attention.
