I would advise you that I found it helpful to just outline it from a to z What is the character doing from this point to this point and just write that out not worrying about style, content. that you add later when the basic idea of the book has been sketched out beginning to end.

It's based on a short story idea I had as a kid and decided to write into a full length novel in 2020 when I was laid off and had literally nothing else to do for a while. Now it has ballooned into three book trilogy the first of which is almost done but yes it is very difficult to stay motivated.
