the argument that AI in the context of art is β€œjust a tool” completely elides the fact that the point of art is to participate in the fucking process of making it

Very weird to listen to a lecture by a Yale professor about Ancient Greece where he pretends very hard that they had no religion whatsoever.

Man, I love the if books could kill podcast, but I've been tired of Peter calling people "little bitches" for ages and now he's just adding more misogynistic language into his repertoire for laughs like... It's enough. He can stop now.

Listen, like I said, the show appears to be written by stupid people, and I'm glad it's found its audience! How about instead of replying to zero note posts of people you don't follow, you go rewatch it or otherwise occupy yourself?

Love the absolute confidence of saying, "I don't know anything about the subject, but I've seen a drawing before." Have you considered a career as a politician? You'd do really well in the current climate

Anyway feeding my theory that this show was made by people far less intelligent than the author of the books, and that's why it's... like... that.

You could theoretically grab a length of peripheral nerve. This would hold up better in the removal process. It wouldn't work at all in a hopper and it would dry up pretty instantly in those conditions, but you could actually remove it with something other than a spoon.

They specifically said it was human tissue they needed from MB. From its spinal cord. But spinal cords, if opened up like that, are just jelly. Straight up jelly.

As a neuroscientist who specializes in spinal cords and peripheral nerves, completely baffled that at least one person at the murderbot show seems to believe human beings have like literal wires inside of us
