the USA built a system of higher education so good that smart/rich people from across the world came here, spending billions to learn here, subsidizing education for Americans while spending money to live in our cities and towns. our government arbitrarily decided we should stop doing that

I live near the Carnegie museums, and the campuses of Carnegie Mellon and the University of Pittsburgh. Between slashed research & humanities funding and the loss of international students, the universities and local economy are in for a world of hurt.

Those are amazing eyes.

So, fewer Americans are going to college and now the Trump administration is reducing the number of international students while also making America more unattractive to those same students.

The impact on our economy will be catastrophic.

Well, $#!^.

Coffee in America just got more expensive.

I was being recruited by UAB Ophthalmology for a vice chair position, and was down on a visit when the Alabama State Supreme Court effectively banned IVF.

Talking with my wife that night, she asked if I saw the news.
