The agency appears to have given them CPC exits which would give them prorated Ed awards.

This is sad. My husband and I met in AmeriCorps. We also made nearly nothing and they’d significantly gutted the program since (no in person training for VISTA anymore for instance)

I served in AmeriCorps twice, and the experience was terrific and important to me. Plus the work we did directly helped local people who lived in walking distance of our office. This is a great American program, so of course America haters defund it.

Yes, the Americorps volunteers here at our local wildlife refuge were also let go today--told they had to pack up and leave tonight. They were going to be building a retaining wall. It won't get built now, and they won't get an $8,000 scholarship towards their education. A travesty.

I worked with an #Americorps team on hurricane disaster response. Some of the most earnest, hardworking and thoughtful people I've ever encountered.

Of course DOGE would end that program, it's everything Trump isn't.
