I really have fallen in love with going to the gym.
Don't socialise, don't talk, nothing.
Headphones in, 90's/00's metal, start with 10 minutes spin and then 4-6 other exercises until I feel like I've factory reset my body.
Love it.

Flashback to when the weird english kid in the village co-opted Sint Maarten into Halloween, and with some friends managed to fill one of those old granny shopping trolleys.
Probably about 8kg of sweets and 15 guilders each from those houses without sweets. 💰

I honestly don't know why I'm surprised. This is Clacton-on-Sea after all, home to flagshaggers, gammons, and ash-tray face Farage.
Any further training I'm getting elsewhere.

There is however an addendum. And that's that I'm not going back to that shop if I can help it. Racist, misogynist, and classist. Going on about 'illegals' and 'women drivers', and then moaning about tenants in their FOUR properties.
Both fellow student and instructor.

So, CBT went well. Just on a wee 125cc scooter, but after initial briefings and car park manuevers, we went bombing along the country lanes, stopped off at a pub for lunch, then headed back.
And my instructor looked the spitting image of Karl Urban.

I've not become a bloody pulpy smear on the road, and have completed my CBT!
Now.... I just need a bike.

I've always been nervous about learning to drive, and anxious about the cost of owning a car.

But a motorbike? A lot cheaper to own, to run, to insure, to maintain. Should've done this years ago.

Good morning. It's Compulsory Basic Training day, which means legally I'll be allowed to ride up to 125cc motorcycles on just my learners licence.

Not gonna deny, I'm super excited. Or maybe it's nerves disguised as excitement.

Specifically things that support the wide range of diversity in gender, sex, attraction, etc.
Maybe even have someone run the occassional science class as well.

Tron: Ares was a let down. Kinda cool, but cheap. Also Leto can go do one. I've seen wooden planks with better acting than him.
But on the plus side, it's prompted many to re-exam and enjoy Tron: Legacy and the original Tron, both highly underrated in their own rights.

She is genuinely so impressed with me working in a bakery (I apply the discount stickers at the end of the day and clean up), so when we do baking together at home she's over the moon. 🥐
Genuinely makes me so goddamn happy that my daughter is proud of me.🥪

Today I'm teaching my daughter some baking techniques 🍞 . I'm specially glad that I actually got her to DO some mixing and kneading, not just being impressed with me doing it. 🥖

Things I'm happy about:
🎃Friday is Halloween.
🏍️It's also my CBT so I can start riding motorbikes up to 125cc. Planning on getting a simple cruiser.
🩸No mood drops from the blood donation this time.
🏋️‍♂️Arms have stopped hurting enough that I feel comfortable going back to the gym.

I wish I could eat steak every night.

I just got a letter from our letting agent.
They're increasing rent from December. And instead of increasing it by £25 per month, it's an extra £50 per month.

My greatest fear is that I vastly overestimate the competency, ability and motivation of individuals in any kind of authority.
From local councillor to minister of whatever. From supervisor at a supermarket to it's CEO.
That I actually would be better at any of these jobs, but never realizing it.

I've started reading through a D&D 5E module, called Kinks & Cantrips.
It may be time to finally merge the overlapping interests in many a nerds life and run THAT campaign.

I'm still trying to figure out the best time to go the my gym when it's quiet, and I can use the spa/sauna afterwards without being surrounded by 2 dozen OAP's using it like their personal bathroom.

Gotta say, kinda miss netbooks.
Walking around with an Asus EEE PC 701, really getting into linux, and just whipping it out at the shopping mall to crack their shitty wifi.
Gods it was wonderful. Felt so cyberpunk.

Sometimes I wish I was more of a tech nerd than a scifi/fantasy nerd.
