I think if you can develop a good mentorship program is one way for an employee get feedback and inspiration on where they want to develop further. I've seen it done once in a great case study where the mentorship program lasted for at least a year. #LearnChat

I see them trying to use Personal Development Plans, and 360 assessments, and mapping competencies to org values. None of which I think do a good job of acually identifying and development transferable skills. Seem like "oh this tool will help us do it"

I wish I had thought of this years ago when I was actually collecting/developing lots of skills. I suppose at one point I had more of an online portfolio that I could reference and see a knowledge shift in. #LearnChat

Focusing on intent. I have a story about getting laid off. Naturally, I was angry, but it led to much learning for me. So, what do I want the listener to feel - my anger or my joy? If it's joy, I need to edit the bad stuff and keep the good. Your intent is not to tell a story. It's to move them.
