Yesterday was Notts County's first EFL win over Barrow since December 1970, meaning Notts have now beaten every current EFL/Premier League club except Liverpool in a League fixture since winning promotion to the old First Division in 1981. Table excludes non-League matches.

Notts County's current winning run is the first time in club history that they've won six successive league games by a one goal margin. The previous best was four, achieved four times (in December 1901, December 1922, August and September 1975 and January and February 2023).

In these days of faceless nation states and investment funds controlling Premier League clubs, what a refreshing change to see a game between two clubs with such ethically-sound ownerships

I think it's fine as a short term solution and probably as good as you're going to do in January, but definitely something we're going to need to revisit in the summer
