Recently watched: Deathdream (1974, originally released as Dead of Night). The funniest 1970s vampire movie I’ve ever seen. I want to watch it again stoned, because it’s the kind of movie you watch and think, “When did I smoke pot?”

I do not reward problematic content or creators with my attention. I’ve never watched a movie or a show, or read a book or a magazine or a comic, or listened to a song all the way through, and on social media I’ve blocked everyone but myself.

Watched the movie Opus. A lot of brilliant actors wasted on an awful script. Also, a movie that centers on a legendary fictional musician should have much better music.

I wasn’t planning to see the new Superman movie, but it’s starting to sound pretty good.

My controversial writing opinion is that fiction writers should be less concerned with what's realistic and more concerned with what would be really cool.

A lot of my book hoard is cheap paperbacks from the 60s, 70s, and 80s that weren’t meant to last 40-60 years. Sometimes they fall apart as I read them.
