One thing I’m noticing on my rewatch of The X-Files is that in season 2, Scully is either kidnapped, hallucinating because of being drugged, getting stalked and nearly killed by a murderer, or otherwise endangered in almost EVERY SINGLE episode.

Whole Mulder is mostly … just fine.
