As a mid-teens recent arrival to the neighbourhood, Badly Drawn Boy headlined an affordable afternoon festival, so I went to it by myself. The opener were a locally-based folk band called Haunted Stereo, who I went out to see almost every subsequent gig from, for the next two years they were active.
