Create arbitrary employee groups (teacher vs support) and pit them against each other, classic union-busting from SDUSD.

GSR vs TA in the UC system, contracted vs in-house bus operators, it's everywhere.

What @timmiller.bsky.social and the Bulwarkers still don't seem to get is that the vast majority of gettable voters do not give half a slivered fuck about this stuff. And for the ones that do, if Talarico drives his strong core message, it crams this stuff back into perspective.

For $1 billion a day we could add enough solar panels to double the generating capacity of the US grid in less than five years.

If this swing holds in the November elections, Republicans may lose a Senate seat, several gerrymandered House seats, with the governorship suddenly in play. Even if it doesn’t happen, Rs will have to pump a ton of resources into the state just to hold it.

Watching public opinion shift this quickly on an issue is unheard of. Even the Iraq War took years before people admitted it was failing.

For the eggs, I recommend a scalding hot pan. When I make sunny side to put on top of something, I actually use the oven - I get the pan real hot in the oven (like 450 F), then add oil and crack the eggs in and put the pan back in the oven. Whites cook fast, come out clean, and yolk still runny

For the salmon, in addition to the above, try leaving it for longer than you think. When proteins are caramelizing, if you try to move them too soon, they stick. If you let them finish caramelizing, they come off cleanly. (2/3)

ok so overall, use more oil for sure, and take more time to heat your pan than you think it takes to heat a pan. Like 4 minutes at least, more if you want it really hot. (1/3)

American Jews have been TRYING to tell folks that yes, AIPAC is evil, & fuck them, but Christian Zionists in the US outnumber Jews IN THE WORLD & have risen to power in all areas of our government, & they want to bring the End Times (& kill all the Jews btw), AND THIS IS WHAT WE WERE TALKING ABOUT.

Exactly. First you let Platner in the door, then you get Neera Tanden retweeting Nick Fuentes, and then your big tent is a fucking Nazi hangout.

No fucking Nazi shit. Period.

With Us or Against Us, Again Congress didn’t authorize this war, and the only response to questions is a loyalty test we’ve fallen for before.

Afghanistan started at 92 percent approval. Iraq started at 71. Iran started at 27. The "whose side are you on" rhetoric is identical. The country underneath it isn't. I wrote about how the framework works, and who's deploying it. www.readtpa.com/p/with-us-or...

What's scary about this story is the surveillance it hints at. This trans woman had changed her name, legally, but chose not to change her gender marker. She was apparently flagged in the DMV system as trans and her license was invalidated under a law that supposedly only concerned gender markers.

Sen. Ossoff Statement on Iran
Atlanta, Ga. - U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff today released the following statement.
"Eight months ago, Donald Trump lied to the country when he claimed U.S. air strikes had 'obliterated' Iran's nuclear program.
"Now Trump says he's taken America to war for regime change in Iran.
"Trump has launched this regime change war and put American forces at risk without presenting evidence of an imminent threat, without clear objectives, without having exhausted diplomacy, without a plan for the aftermath, and without the consent of Congress.
"I oppose yet another regime change war-of-choice in the Middle East. Congress must convene immediately and pass a War Powers Resolution to assert our Constitutional authority over war and peace.
"The President has presented no evidence that Iran or its nuclear program β€” which he falsely claimed to have 'obliterated' β€” pose an imminent threat to the United States, or that diplomacy was exhausted. Iran's support for terrorism and uranium enrichment have long destabilized the region. But sending American forces into harm's way should only ever be a last resort.
"I pray for the safety of U.S. forces who have been ordered into battle and commend their extraordinary professionalism."

Ossoff’s statement is 1000x stronger than Schumer-Jeffries. This is a moderate Jewish Senator from a Trump state. The split isn’t moderate vs progressive, but leading vs poll-reacting

At least 20% of USians will support any horrible thing. So this means that this war is deeply unpopular among regular people.

This reminds me of that Frankie Boyle joke about how Americans not only come to your country and kill your people, they also come back twenty years later to make a movie about how killing your people made their soldiers sad.
