#Inqtober - 25 - Joyride Pilot

so originally I was going to try and paint up a vehicle of some sort, but that was going to be a bigger time-sink than I wanted, and then I remembered the Last Chancers from the old white dwarfs. Grease Monkeys crime was stealing an Eldar grav-falcon for a joyride.

#Inqtober - 24 - Faithful Retainer

This is some sort of bodyguard within an Imperial Knights house, which I always thought was one of the coolest additions from the last couple editions. However, I always wanted it to go further, with feudal lasgun-troops in support of Knights. A man can dream.

#Inqtober - 23 - Scholarum Attendee

Okay, I had a lot of fun with this one, mixing Warhammer 40k and Spy Family. I did feel the small Imperial symbol on her uniform wasn't quite enough, so I also drew her canine-servo-skull who helps her day-to-day.

#Inqtober - 22 - Domestic Servant

I just had to draw a maid for this one, in some sort of fancy spire-borne dwelling. I tried to keep the decoration minimal, with only the Aquila being prominent. Also, some sort of eye-covering so the servant class do not gaze up at the eyes of their betters.

#Inqtober - 21 - Saboteur

Some sort of deep mine worker, with a bit of a purple-ish look to him. I figured this might be some sort of true believer in the 6-armed emperor, or whatever local idea of the emperor they have on his planet. Cheers!

#Inqtober - 20 - Planetary Governor

I wanted somewhat fancy for this fellow, like perhaps he is the governor of a small mining world or something, not big and flashy, but very comfortable (especially compared to the mining-populace). Also, big moustache.

Here is a jaunty Air-Caste Tau Pilot, ready to fly circles around the nearest imperial vessel (and hopefully not catch a broadside). Had fun doing up a new template for this fellow, and I will probably make more Tau templates, Cheers!

#Inqtober - 18 - Techno-Shaman

I was reading lots of the Dark Heresy RPG (and Rogue Trader) in the lead up to this month, and I loved the description of Icanthos. Basically a world of mad-max warlords, and whoever collects the most Ghost Pollen is crowned the planets governor for the next 5 years.

#Inqtober - 17 - Priest-Militant

This fellow is some sort of armed priest of his small order. Tall hat and boltgun seemed like a fun combination. Cheers!

I didn't even mention the stinger on its tail, mostly because the Venom isn't really worth mentioning - at least compared to all the other stuff on Catachan :P

#Inqtober - 16 - Lurking Predator

Instead of a Tyranid or other 40k xenos, I decided to make this, a Catachan beasty. Just one of the endless predators on the planet of Catachan, it is a big-cat like creature, with a mouth like a sharks. Oh, and it leaps, out of the tall grass. Cheers!

#Inqtober - 15 - Assassinorum Student

I went fairly simple for this one, just a novitiate of some sort of death cult. Their gear resembles that of other proper assassin temples, but is of lower quality (except for the blades themselves).

#Inqtober - 14 - Suspected Daemonhost

So I figured, if I just drew a fellow with horns and warp energy, it would be more of a "Confirmed" daemonhost. This "Suspected" daemonhost is a senior administrator whose work is always beyond reproach, and yet results always lead to major logistical losses.

I figure it has the same kinda little anti-grav unit that they put in all the servo skulls. And of course, The lady is very busy, always on the move, hither and thither.

#Inqtober - 13 - Noble Conspirator

A very fancy member of high society, with a grav-hookah of some sort. Now, when we hear Noble Conspirator, we think they are doing some heresy or something, but what if its a conspiracy to unseat a heretical governor or the like? That's what inspired this one.

#Inqtober - 12 - Enslaved

I couldn't resist drawing some sort of Penal Legion type character for this. What was his crime you ask? perhaps he was merely born to a prison colony, perhaps his great-great-great-grandparents spit in the street or something.

Warhammer 40k is a bit grimdark.

#Inqtober - 11 - Resurrectionist

One of the names for old-timey grave-robbers, so I figured I would continue with that. Maybe he gets bodies for a Magos of the Biologis study, or maybe for terrible Chaos reasons, either way he's getting paid.

I had to give him a cyber-eye to make him more 40k.

Probably fair to say that Servitors are one of the more grim things in the grimdark. But at least his power source will probably run out after a decade or so of guarding the door...

#Inqtober - 10 - Lonely Servitor

Well, in stark departure from Happy 40k, here is a very lonely servitor. I figure he was left on the other side of a bulkhead, with instructions to guard the door, but no foe ever came. So he just sits there, waiting for instructions.

I mean, he has the night off for the festival, he has a mystery meat kebab, there's music probably, whats not to be happy about :P

#Inqtober - 9 - Festival-Goer

Here is maybe my favourite fellow so far in this 40k-themed october, an actual happy fellow. This mid-hiver is enjoying some sort of street festival, and has a meat kebab. He also has his nicest green festival garment on, and his purity sealed hat.

Pillage is published by victrix, fairly small scale dark age skirmish. They also make some nice warband kits (some armoured, unarmoured, some ranged fellows). seems like a good little game

A little diversion from the regular pixel art, here are some Victrix dark age miniatures I will be using for Pillage.

I am currently just trying to get two 300gp forces together to start some small skirmishes.

I also have enough (still unpainted) to field a 24pt Lion Rampant force... eventually

#Inqtober - 8 - Nunciator

This divine Hymnal Servitor, is basically just a speaker system on a simple grav-suspensor, with a few servo-skulls attached for the heck of it. I do imagine it can be quite loud, and constantly sings hymns, flying high above the Hive streets.

#Inqtober - 7 - Reliquarist

This imperial saint (a very minor one) was lucky enough to die horribly, but to have his bones preserved in a reliquary, with a holo-image of himself. The Servitor praises the saint for his sacrifice, and answers questions from wayward Hive-goers.
