Expect that roads near the site will be blocked for security, but visibility should be high on Hwy 54. We welcome our allies at Rapids Response, Socialist Alternative, PAO and the Portage County Dems, who are also promoting this event. Dress for the weather

Remember that there is a school at St. Bron's. The north part of that lot is used for school recess. Their restrooms are probably not available, since the flooring is being replaced this week..

There are large sidewalks on the north side of Hwy 54 and the pastor at St. Bronislava has reportedly approved use of the large parking lot. He asks that we not protest in front of the church.

JD Vance will be speaking at Pointe Precision in Plover on Thursday 2/26. In coalition with several other groups, we are calling for a protest from 10-noon, though the exact time of his arrival and departure have not been announced.

Democrats continue to hold the line after making it clear they would not support any DHS funding bill without restrictions on ICE.

We must urge Democrats to keep going to get ICE Out For Good, and pressure Republicans to agree to a DHS funding bill that protects our communities and civil rights.

Note: There are public restrooms at the Portage County Public Library, which is open during the protest.

The House could vote today on the GOP’s new voter suppression legislation modeled on the infamous SAVE Act. This series of bills would end registration by mail and add new ID requirements that could prevent millions of eligible voters from registering. Make sure your representative hears from you.

Join us at 5:30 pm on Monday January 26th at the Portage County Courthouse for a vigil in memory of Alex Pretti and the other victims of violence by the Trump administration.
